Visit of Vice President Wang Min from Shanghai University

From April 16 to 18, Vice President Wang Min of Shanghai University visited Istanbul, accompanied by Dean of College of International Exchanges Prof. Yao Ximing, Deputy Director of International Office Dr. Ni Lan, and Deputy Director of Office of Science and Techonolocy Prof. Shi Ying. In the afternoon of April 16, the delegation visited Research and Development Center of Huawei Technologies Co.Ltd in Istanbul. Mr. Guan Duo, General Manager of Department of Public Relations and Mr. Wu Lianqing, Director of Reaserch and Development Center of Huawei hosted the delegation. Diretor Wu Lianqing introduced more about the center’s current scale, production business and software development during the meeting. Vice President Wang Min expressed sincere gratitudes to Huawei’s year-long support to CIBU. He wished that both parties will have better cooperation in the future.

the morning of April 17, Vice President Wang Min attended the board meeting of Confucius Institute at Boğaziçi University, and exchanged ideas with Provost Ali Teqcan of Boğaziçi University, as well as Dean of Faculty of Arts and Sciences Prof. Taylan Akdoğan, and the board members of Confucius Institute. In the afternoon, Vice President Wang presented at the opening ceremony of “Chinese Silk Exhibition,” and had a short speech. Then, he had a meeting with Vice Rector of Boğaziçi University Prof. Lale Akarun, and faculties from electronic and computer engineering.

the morning of April 18, Shanghai University Delegation visited Koç University. Vice President Wang Min met with Prof. İrşadi Aksun, Vice Rector of Koç University. Other paricipants included Director of Student Affairs Bilgen Bilgin, and Coordinator of International Exchanges Sedef Erçetin.

the afternoon, the delegation visited Istanbul Technical University. Vice President Wang had a nice meeting with Prof. Mehmet Sabri Çelik, Vice Rector of Istanbul Technical University, as well as Prof. Eşref Adali and Prof. Berk Canberk, scholars working on engineering.
