Tai-chi Class Opened at Confucius Institute of Bogazici University

On the afternoon of Nov. 14, 2013, Tai-chi class was opened at Confucius Institute of Bogazici University. In the opening ceremony, Dr. Liu Yi, Chinese Director of CIBU, made a short but brilliant opening remark. He said that, “CIBU is not only for the students who are studying Chinese, but also for all the students and staffs at Bogazici University. And this Tai-chi class aims to satisfy their great interest in Tai-chi and Chinese maritial arts”. All the staffs at CIBU and more than 20 students and staffs at Bogazici University attended this openning ceremony. Tai Chi class will be taught by the volunteer teacher Sa Qiang, who started pracising martial arts at 6 and has made many outstanding performances in lots of important occations. In this class, the master will teach eight-step Tai-chi to the beginners for free. And the class will be taught from 4pm to 5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week until the end of this semeter. So far, more than 20 people has registered with this class.
