Confucius Institute at Boğazici University Held the 2013 January HSK Test
On January 2, 2013, the Confucius Istitute successfully held the HSK test. HSK test—the Chinese Proficiency Test, is a national standard test for the people whose mother tongue is not Chinese(Mandarine). It is organized and certificated by the National Chinese Proficiency Test Committee which is established by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Confucius Institute at Bogazici University has been one of the exam center of HSK in Turkey since its establishment. The HSK test had 11 candidates, scattered in level 2,3,5 and 6. Some of them are university students from Bogazici University and Fatih University, the rest are people from many different careers who are interested in Chinese language and culture. The Institute began to arrange the HSK test from November. The Chinese director Miao Fuguang held the staff meeting to ensure every issue was properly settled, including information release, registration for the test, submit the candidates’ files and the assignment of the examination rooms. The teachers in the institute gaved special tutorship and sample test to the candidates, helped them to prepare for the test. After the test, institute staffs sealed and sent the answer sheet, completed the test records and had a brief summarize of the test. Since the increasingly economic and cultural communication between China and Turkey, more and more Turkish people are learning Chinese. Many of them have been to China or are preparing to go to China for further development. In the process of bilateral communication, Confucius Institute and HSK test have become the stage for foreigners to learn Chinese and come into contact with China.
