Confucius Institute at Bogazici University Awarded “Confucius Institute of the Year 2012

On December 16th, 2012, the President of Bogazici University Prof. Gulay, the former President of Bogazici University Prof. Kadri, Prof. Taner and the Chinese Director of CIBU associate Prof. Miao Fuguang arrived in Beijing and attended the 7th Confucius Institute Conference. In the conference, the State Councilor and the Chairman of the Council of Hanban Headquarters Liu Yandong presented the prize of “Confucius Institute (Classroom) of the Year 2012”. Through the effort of all the staff and collaboration of mutual parts in the last year CIBU was honored the prize. Prof. Gulay, representing CIBU, received the prize.

The State Councilor and the Chairman of the Council of Hanban Headquarters Liu Yandong presented the prize to Prof. Gulay On January 4th, 2012, Prof. Gulay visited CIBU for the first time and presented the prize to CIBU. The Turkish Director of CIBU Prof. Esenbel showed Prof. Gulay around the institute and the Ningxia Rock Art Exhibition in the Institute. Prof. Gulay talked to all the staff and thanked them for their diligent work.
