Chinese New Year’s Eve Party at Confucius Institute at Bogazici University

February 9th, 2013 was the Chinese Lunar New Year’s Eve, the staff of Confucius Institute at Bogazici University, the students from the Institute and Chinese and Turkish friends got together at Confucius Institute at Bogazici University to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Traditionally, Near Year’s Eve is a time for family get-together. Confucius Institute at Bogazici University prepared Chinese dumplings which brought every Chinese people here a taste of the New Year. They were eating dumplings and watching the Spring Gala. In this Spring Gala, there were programs from students from Confucius Institutes which made Chinese teachers very proud. Confucius Institute has already been an important stage for people around the world to know China. The year 2013 is the “Turkish Year in China” and the Turkish dances were on stage. Both the Chinese and the Turkish are glad to see that both sides are trying to know each other not only economically but also culturally.
