Delegation from China Association for Science and Technology Visited Confucius Institute at Bogazici University

On March 21st, 2013, a delegation of six from China Association for Science and Technology led by the Vice Executive Chairman Chen Xi visited Confucius Institute at Bogazici University. Chinese Director of CIBU Dr. Miao Fuguang showed them around the Insitute, including the offices, library and the classroom. Later, they had a meeting in the library. During the short meeting, Chinese Director Miao Fuguang introduced the history of CIBU, Chinese courses and cultural activities. Vice Executive Chairman Chen Xi gained in-depth knowledge of operation mechanism and teaching mode.

Photo 1 The delegation with staff of CIBU Later, the delegation met with Prof. Gulay, the Rector of Bogazici University and Prof. Ali, the Vice Rector of Bogazici University. Chinese Director of CIBU Dr. Miao Fuguang and Turkish Dirctor of CIBU Prof. Esenbel joined the meeting. Prof. Gulay detailed the Engineering Department of Bogazici University and proposed communication and cooperation in engineering with Chinese Universities. They also discussed deeply in the teaching mode of the Engineering Department of Bogazici University and how it got both American and European certification.
